Hi everyone,

Arrangements have been made to join the Toronto Chapter on their Spring Tour of boat shops in the Gravenhurst & Port Carling area. 

Hotel accommodations have been reserved at the Best Western Couchiching Inn, Orillia for the weekend. The cost per night is $129.95 plus tax. All members wishing to register can do so at 1-888-869-2306 under ACBS Bluewater. Please let me know right after you register as I have only booked 15 rooms. These rooms will be held until April 9th and if we need more rooms I will need time to let them know.  We will leave Orillia at around 8:30 am on Saturday and head north to visit various boat builder and restoration shops in Gravenhurst and Port Carling area.  Directions and maps to the boat shops will be provided so that you can visit the shops at your own pace.

 I did a road trip to Orillia on Good Friday and had a tour of the hotel. I was pleased so hope you are too. Look at hotel at www.bestwesternorillia.com

Maps to local attractions will be provided for those that do not want to tour the boat shops.  Some of the local attractions include the  Zephyr Art Gallery, Orillia Museum of Art and History,  shopping centre or just lounge by around the hotel. They have a nice patio, sauna, whirlpool and gym. 

Charlie Pride is also playing at the Casino Rama on Saturday night.

The cost of the boat shop tour is $29.50  (if booked before April ^15th) or $34.50 (if book after April 15^th).  Lunch at the Port Carling Community Center is included in the fee.
